Suda 51 talks No More Heroes

Exciting news coming from Edge and for No More Heroes fan. Creator Suda 51 had this to say;

“I think this is the last NMH that is going to be developed on Wii,” Suda said. “To expand NMH to new possibilities, we need a new platform. Wii is a great platform, but we’ve done everything we can with it now.”

He added that he “really wants to make NMH a big franchise” and that he hoped the second episode would “have bigger success”.

Suda previously expressed his excitement for the 360’s natal in Famitsu so perhaps the title beyond desperate struggle will utilise this technology after all No More Heroes was originally intended to be on the Xbox 360.

This is no doubt disappointing news for Wii players, after all they look set to loose one of the systems biggest third party exclusive franchise. Opening the series up to new consoles sounds very cool and I’ll be interested to do what Suda does with the possible third entity.

Back to the Wii, at least it still has Grease the video game or a reason to keep crying …

Look forward to NMH on a different platform? Sound-off below or in the forums.
