Fight Night Round 4
Fight Night Round 4 has retained it’s position at the top of the UK charts this week, seeing off stiff competition from fellow EA Sports new entry Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10. EA really is dominating the market at the moment with 4 of the top 10 games emerging from their studios. They do tend to get a lot of flack for being the big evil company, but hey, people are buying their games so they must be doing something right.

Other games of note include Call of Juarez coming in at a respectable 6th and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince scraping into the top 10. As much as I hate the thought of a game not being there on merit I’m sure we’ll see it in the top 3 come the release of the movie, as with Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen which has moved up to third place after entering at 6th last week.

It’s also interesting to note that Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare has overtaken it’s more recent cousin, Call of Duty: World At War, I can only guess this is down to the high level of anticipation surrounding the upcoming release of the sequel, Modern Warfare 2, although why that would make anyone want to buy the original I have no idea, we gamers are certainly an odd bunch.

Be sure to check out The Weird Pixel Forums for all the latest discussion on the charts, maybe you can tell me why the sales of Call of Duty 4 have suddenly shot up?
